A Family Tradition of Modern Furniture
Our story began in 1960, when Bent Ewald opened New Look Furniture, a small store in Vancouver’s Gastown. With an eye for quality and design, he quickly built a loyal following of customers who appreciated well-crafted furniture at fair prices.
In 1984, Bent expanded with Mobler Furniture in Richmond, introducing modern, Scandinavian-inspired designs and continuing his commitment to offering exceptional value.
After more than 35 successful years, Mobler temporarily closed during the COVID-19 pandemic. Soon after, Bent reimagined the business with his grandson, Steven — launching Mobler Online to bring the same great furniture to customers at lower prices through reduced overhead.
Now 93, Bent still visits often, sharing his experience and passion for craftsmanship with customers and staff alike.
Today, Steven carries on the family tradition, personally selecting each model from trusted factories and ensuring every piece meets Mobler’s long-standing standards of quality and integrity.
